Sra. Mendoza's Class News
¡Hola! Welcome to the site for Sra. Mendoza's Spanish classes at BHS. Here you can find links to our course syllabus, grading policies, and the school Code of Conduct and Expectations. Lessons and materials will be uploaded to our Google classroom site and grades can be viewed in Skyward.
I am excited to be back at BHS for my eleventh year! Before teaching at Beech, I had worked for nearly nine years at Vanderbilt Medical Center as a medical interpreter and then a clinical researcher. The desire to be closer to my family and spend more time with my children led me to a career change.
I graduated in December of 2013 with a Master of Arts in Education from Union University and obtained my Education Specialist (Ed.S) degree from there in May of 2022. I did my undergraduate studies at Samford University in Birmingham, AL, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Though I am not a native of Tennessee, I am a graduate of Beech High School and a proud Buccaneer alumna! My family has lived in this community for nearly 30 years.
My hope and my desire is that the students and families that I serve will develop a life-long love of Spanish and Latin culture and be open-minded to the increasing diversity that we encounter in our community on a daily basis.
It is my privilege and my honor to teach the students of this community. Thank you for entrusting them to me for a little while each day!
Best,
